2. Compare the same scope of service
One quote may include a vehicle, two movers and basic protection while another covers transport only. Compare crew size, minimum charge, mileage, trips and optional services.
3. Describe access for a realistic estimate
Floor, lift, carrying distance from the van and narrow stairs affect working time. In central Ljubljana, mention restricted access or a longer carry from the legal stopping point.
4. For furniture, the number of items matters
For individual items, do not write only “furniture”. State the number of larger items and separately how many require disassembly, reassembly or extra protection.
5. Agree protection and disassembly clearly
Agree who provides blankets, wrap, boxes and protection materials, and who will dismantle and rebuild furniture.
6. For a three-bedroom-style apartment, send enough detail
Send approximate floor area, a list of larger items, an estimate of boxes, floors at both addresses, lift details, van access, distance between addresses and photos of special items.
