How it works
Why can the price differ even for the same distance?
The drive itself is often not the largest part of the work. Carrying, loading, access and the number of trips can have a major impact.
Size and quantity
More furniture, boxes and equipment means more carrying, loading and possibly more trips.
Floor and lift
Higher floors without a suitable lift require more time and physical work.
Access to the entrance
If the van cannot stop close to the entrance, the carrying distance increases.
Number of trips
If everything cannot be moved in one trip, mileage is charged for every required trip.
Disassembly and assembly
Disassembly and reassembly require additional working time.
Protection and packing
Protecting larger items and additional packing can increase the required time.

Example mileage calculation
If the route is 30 km one way and 2 trips are required:
- 30 km one way
- 60 km for one return trip
- 2 trips = 120 charged kilometres
- 120 km × €0.90 = €108 mileage
Team working time is charged separately. Driving time is not additionally added as hourly labour; mileage is charged for the route.

What to check when comparing moving prices
Check what is included: number of movers, vehicle, mileage, minimum charge, access, protection and optional services.
Minimum charge
The minimum charge for the base team is 2 hours.
Weekend
There is currently no special weekend surcharge; the same base hourly rate applies.
Heavy and special items
Safes, pianos and very heavy equipment are handled individually because special equipment or a larger team may be required.

How many items are being moved?
For a smaller move, the number of larger items is a key input. When “Individual pieces of furniture” is selected, the calculator therefore asks for the actual number of larger items.
Number of larger items
Count the larger items that must be carried: e.g. sofa = 1, wardrobe = 1, bed = 1, washing machine = 1. Do not count boxes in this field — enter them separately in the calculator.
Disassembly, assembly and protection
Enter separately how many items need disassembly/reassembly and how many need additional protection or wrapping.

How much does an apartment move cost?
It depends on the amount of belongings, access, floor, lift, route and number of trips. The base team of van + 2 movers is €80/h excluding 22% VAT, minimum 2 hours.
Is driving time charged by the hour?
Not additionally. Mileage is charged for the route, while the hourly rate covers the work of the moving team.
Is moving at the weekend more expensive?
No. There is currently no special weekend surcharge.
Is the calculator price final?
No. The calculator provides an indicative price range. The final quote depends on the actual conditions of the move.
